The best part of concert photography has been not only to shoot bands that I listen to and admire, but also the local bands that I have never heard of and yet often turn out to be just as good. There is a certain type of energy at a concert that no matter how loud the volume is cranked up from a stereo, it will never be able to match. That is what I love and that is what I want to capture.

I’ve been a photographer for the past six years and recently received the chance to be a part of iShootSD so that I no longer have to try to sneak or sweet talk in my camera into shows. Music has also been a big part of my life and keeps me going throughout the day. With a very eclectic music taste, there is something for my every mood and every emotion just waiting to be heard. Sometimes it’s death metal, other times it’s reggae, and still other times it’s a good country song.

Though I love a good crowd that is pumped up, if you crowd surf on top of my camera and me or throw a punch, expect a good hit back.
